Starting of a brand new day!

So after a 2 hour meltdown last night, Maire finally fell asleep.  She slept for 12 hours!  Today she woke up with nothing but smiles and laughs for Mommy & Daddy.  Even after the medical exam torture session, she still seems to be happy with our company.  I even have proof!  Check out these wonderful shots---Melissa, if you are reading this, get a tissue!!

Okay one last peek at your blog before bedtime was totally worthwhile. Can I say GORGEOUS!!!!! I cannot get over even how much prettier (and more tiny) she is in your pictures). How did you stop snuggling her long enough to get those pictures? How absolutely positively lovely!

Precious. There are not words to describe the swelling of my heart when I look at that tender smile. What a great start to my day! (And yours!) Blessings!

Such a beautiful smile Maire has!!!! She just needed to get some of those hard feelings out before her smiles could break through. I am so glad that today/yesterday was a much better day.

So glad to see Maire smiling! She is just beautiful! It's going to be an adjustment for all of you, but it will be much easier as time goes on. Keelan had night terrors. He had one in the middle of the night on the plane on the way home from Guanzhou. It was really awful--lasted about 15 minutes and our fellow passengers were not happy. The night terrors disappeared after the first couple of months.

Liann used to store food in her mouth, too. One night I lay her down and a whole shrimp came out of her mouth! You'll laugh at these stories later. We sure do!

Have you discovered Danny's Bagels yet? I think it's probably still there. You can order over the phone and have it delivered and it's all American-familiar stuff. As much as we love Chinese food, it is nice to get some familiar food while you're there.

At least it's warm there. We've had constant snow these last two weeks with more coming tonight!

Hang in there!!
